At Hello Sitter, we’re always working to better app flow and usability for our Parents – and we’re happy to finally release the updates you requested!

You wanted to give your Sitters more funds without raising our hourly rates. You wanted to be able to relay complex traffic and parking info when your Sitter’s due to meet you and the kids at festivals, theme parks and big events.

We’ve done that and more!

What is it?

This feature allows Parents to offer extra funds to their Sitter! Our rates remain the same (we know you guys love them!) but we heard you when you said you’d like to give more!

Why Pre-Tip?

Sometimes you just need to sweeten the deal a little – especially if you’re booking a last minute request (less than 8 hours before a Sitter is needed); if the job is less than 3 hours long, especially on busy or demanding weekends; if there are less than 5 Sitters available for a request; or just because you feel like thanking your Sitter for all that they do!

How Does it Work?

Input your preferred amount in the “Pre-Tipping” text field, and it will reflect in the total below.

 

What is it?

Help get your Sitter home safely! Parents are now able to add the *promise of transportation funds to your Sitter Request.

Why Add Additional Transportation?

Planning to stay out late? Maybe your city’s metro system doesn’t run so regularly past a certain time. Maybe your Sitter lives far away and you’d like to offer them funds for gas! Perhaps your Sitter needs to park in a garage or lot, and you want to reimburse those fees. Whatever your circumstance – Additional Transportation can come in handy for a variety of reasons!

How Does it Work?

Input your preferred amount in “Additional Transportation”. This will not be reflected in your total upfront booking cost; rather, it lets your Sitter know that you are willing to pay up to a certain amount for transportation, which you may coordinate after the request has been accepted.

This can happen a few different ways! Your Sitter can add an “expense” after booking through the app, or you can offer them cash for a cab!

What is it?

This is an extra toggle option we put to let the sitter know they need to communicate with you on where to park. 

Why Use it?

Are you traveling? Is your local Sitter meeting you at your hotel – and would you like to cover their valet or garage parking service? Sitters may decline jobs in high-traffic area where parking is limited without guarantee that their efforts to go the extra mile will be compensated!

How Does it Work?

Just click the toggle on the “review booking details” in the “address field” and input your notes!
